Wilensky talks about transparency in government?  What he showed you was not the truth.
If you want to know the truth watch this and read the next article..
It is not very long.

ISSUE #10                                                                            JULY 2, 2008

For the last 9 issues I have tried to get the word out about the backroom politics and ineptitude at the County led by Supervisors Wilensky, Claudino and Thomas as well as the ongoing fiasco in the Community Development Department led by Director Moreno. A good number of people have been enlightened and saddened by their nefarious activities.

And now the Grand Jury report has been released and exposes more unsavory CDA activities. Kudos to these fine members of the public who have stepped forward confirming this activity and revealing this to the public. It took a lot of courage to do so. Already they were publicly slammed by Wilensky at the July 1st Board meeting and two of the Supervisors apparently directed the CAO to prepare a report undermining the Grand Jury report.   It was a pitiful effort on his part to re-direct and re-focus attention elsewhere when he was the architect of this whole affair. It is now clear that he has placed himself, his cronies and Moreno above any County policies and procedures in order to get their agenda and plan in place.

It is now time for the community as a whole to take the next step and demand accountability and answers from these four people and why they are not serving the public as they have sworn to do. It also appears that laws have been broken and this warrants further investigation. Further examination should be made into all of the staff hired by Moreno as to their qualifications and any personal relationships they have with Moreno and Wilensky (it won’t take too much digging to reveal this). Misrepresenting her qualifications to the Board should be grounds for immediate dismissal. Prior to Moreno’s hire, an individual was offered a position but the offer cancelled when the background check revealed discrepancies in the stated qualifications. So it is not as if the Board was ignorant of the importance of checking, it was just a matter of arrogance on Wilensky’s and Claudino’s part (Thomas gets a pass on this since he was not elected yet but is clearly a yes man for Wilensky). If concerned citizens do not take this next step as soon as possible and take decisive action, the shameful actions and ineffectiveness will continue as Wilensky and Company lead us into the abyss.

It is now up to you. As for me, I think I’ll go fishing.
